HOW THE YRDSALE STARTED:

THE YRDSALE began in 2020, right in the middle of Covid, for one very simple reason: we needed a source of income.

Life was still happening. Bills didn’t pause. And what started as a way to get by quickly turned into something much bigger.

Selling handpicked vintage online took off faster than expected. We became one of Depop’s top sellers, were invited to their HQ (which honestly felt a bit surreal), and even managed to buy a first car purely from selling second-hand clothing!

WHEN IT PAUSED:

Then came a curveball.

A job on a cruise ship meant months at sea, entertaining strangers, living out of a suitcase — and having very little time (or WiFi) to keep the business alive. Gradually, THE YRDSALE slipped into the background.

The idea never fully disappeared — it just waited.

WHY WE'RE BACK:

A few years on, everything changed.

Coming home. Getting engaged. Moving up north. And realising it was time to give this another proper go — but this time, doing it right.

Now, THE YRDSALE is being built from the ground up. There’s a small unit, a very makeshift photo studio, and a website built entirely in-house, with plenty of trial, error, and learning along the way.

WHAT WE DO:

We sell handpicked, pre-owned and vintage clothing and items.

No mass buying. No restocks. No shortcuts.

Every item is carefully selected, cleaned, and photographed, meaning once it’s gone — it’s gone. You’ll never see the same thing twice.
